We first came to Thailand during our YWAM DTS program in 2000. After falling in love with the country and a Karen family during that time, we took several trips back to Thailand over the next few years before following the call to move here in 2006 with our daughter Maile. Since then, we’ve seen more of the importance of fathers and mothers over us speaking wisdom, life, and truth while pouring life into us. We have seen great life being poured out of us into the various ministries we’re involved with (children’s ministry, youth ministry, church planting, evangelism, discipleship, community development, children’s homes, etc.) but we notice the greatest excitement and growth has come out of the “Outpour” of our lives.

We both came to Thailand individually on separate mission trips in 2011 and it was then that God broke our hearts for the people and called us back to Thailand long-term. Six months later we met, shared our hearts and passions, and were married less than a year later. Ten months after that we hopped on a plane to Thailand to live out the dreams God had placed in our hearts together. We feel called to be a father to the fatherless and a mother to the motherless and to live our lives as Jesus did, listening to the Father’s voice and being led by His Spirit to bring His Kingdom to this world. We are continually in awe of the ways the Lord has moved in and through us and we’re so excited to see what else He has in store!

My heart turned towards missions when God gave me a heart for those who are forgotten, oppressed, and yet find hope in what should be hopeless situations in the 1990′s. Since then I’ve worked in a variety of areas of missions and ministry both in the States and ‘overseas’. During a visit to Thailand in 2011 I knew that I was to return and live in Mae Sot. I know that God has great things in store for this part of Thailand and I’m excited to be a part of it.
